Change Everything Day of Climate Justice Action

Oil Free Wellington is organising to achieve Wellington's largest ever on-water demonstration and we need your help to make this happen.
On December 13th we and many others from here and around the country will take to the water to show that we will resist fossil fuel companies coming to Aotearoa this summer.
This is part of Change Everything, a weekend of climate justice action at the end of the Paris climate negotiations in December, where we will show and discuss alternative pathways to effective climate change resistance. With a high likelihood that this round of climate change negotiations will be as underwhelming as the previous 20, finding our own way forward will be of huge importance.
(For some background on the languishing international negotiations on climate change go to http://parisclimatejustice.org/)
Our mission is to bring our community together to discuss real and equitable solutions to climate change, and to take action and show that fossil fuel companies coming here will meet strong and committed resistance.
We’re fundraising to pay for boat, kayak and paddleboard hire for the day of action, for additional safety gear, and for campaign materials.
Please help us make this unique event happen by donating however much you can afford.
