Charlotte New Zealand representative Oceania Judo Championships 2017
I have been selected to represent New Zealand at the Oceania Judo Championships I am looking to raise funds towards my trip!
Auckland
After starting Judo with a couple after school classes I joined Nippon Judo Club because I enjoyed training so much. 3 years later after working hard and competing for Nippon Judo Club I won the Junior Womens Under 52kg National Championships. Since then I have been training as part of the Auckland development squad and been selected to represent New Zealand in the Junior Women Under 52kg category at the Oceania Judo Championships on April 25th to May 1st in Nuku’alofa, Tonga.
Use of funds
I will be using the funds to pay for flights, accomodation, entry fee, insurance and the team uniform.

2017 National Training Camp in Gisborne 18 March 2017
In preparation for the OJU's I attended my fist national training camp in Gisborne! This was such a great opportunity to not only meet the other athletes on the team but to also improve my throws and techniques over a tough 3 days with New Zealand's head coaches and with guest coach Matt D'Aquino. Matt being an Olympic Judoka who I was able to receive invaluable advice from over the course of the camp. I still have a long way to go, many more camps to attend and a lot more practice to do but this was such a great camp to get me started!
