My goal is to compete in four World Mountain Bike Cup races in Europe to achieve selection for the 2017 World MTB Champs in Cairns.

Auckland

I am planning on spending two and a half months in Europe between May and July this year, racing in World Mountain Bike Cup races in Czech Republic, Germany, Andorra and Switzerland. The purpose of this trip is to gain experience racing at a world level and to be selected for the pinnacle event of the year, the World MTB Champs in Cairns, Australia in September.

I have just finished the New Zealand and Australian season, traveling across the ditch three times and to Wanaka, Rotorua and Tokoroa for races.

I am proud to have achieved the 2017 U23 National Champion title at the New Zealand Champs in Wanaka in February, as well as a 3rd place at the Oceania MTB Champs in March in Australia.

I self funded all my trips around New Zealand and to Australia in the past 3 months. I am currently fitting my training around working full time to save as much as I can, however I've realised I will need some extra help to fund my trip to Europe.

Use of funds

The funds raised will help towards my flights to, from and around Europe, as well as towards accommodation, food, vehicle transport, etc... for over 2 months in Europe.
