Cheaper living for Kiwi's

$140 of $30,000 goal
Given by 4 generous donors in around 3 months

We invite you to think outside the square and into the world of Geodesic Domes!

Otago

We are based in Wanaka, we have engineered a wooden framed Geodesic Dome using a unique building process and steel connectors. We offer you the chance to work with us to help our idea come to life.

Donate $50 or more and you can get you a 3D printed model geodesic dome!

$650 will get you a set of metal brackets and instructions to build your own V2 dome out of wood. (Send an email with your receipt to 3dprintingnz@gmail.com to claim our offer)

* Our domes are significantly cost effective per square metre.

* Quick to construct.

* Made with local renewable resources where possible.

* Structurally strong to withstand harsh environmental changes.

* Built to last through the next ice age!

We have spent the last few years researching many different ways of building geodesic domes. We have now developed our own system ready to put into production. We will be offering a range of products from metal dome connector kits to build your own dome with your own timber, insulated Geodesic Dome kits for living in, greenhouse dome kits, cut down version for sleepouts or sheds and a unique interactive geodesic dome building manual.

We have our prototypes. We are seeking assistance to get our first production run of our metal brackets used to make our domes.

Like many entrepreneurs we have sunk all our money and savings into what we believe in - for the greater good of humanity and would love your help to take our products to market.

We are extremely passionate about domes and about reducing our carbon footprint so we are aiming for a carbon zero product! With this in mind we are also producing a very cheap building to immediately offer support to New Zealand's housing shortage, our Habitat Domes are similar to a yurt which have been widely accepted around New Zealand as a living space provided they are safe. Our living dome has a 29.3 m² floor which means it falls under the new building regulations for structures less than 30m²

We strive to support our local industry - we do have the tools and experience in New Zealand to do this, to reach carbon zero and at a price that rivals all the competition. Our warm and cosy 6.3m insulated living dome has an estimated retail price of $19,000 and our entry level 4.8m greenhouse dome kit starts at $1,500. We can offer onsite installation or training anywhere in New Zealand.

Use of funds

To pay local engineers to start the first production cycle of our geodesic domes parts. To help with professional documentation and creating our interactive construction manual. For day to day business administration.
