    Here are some words from Cliff:

    I would like to thank those people who have sent such heart-warming messages of support which I have explained to Marita and John. I told them also of the generous financial support: “Buy more key-rings” said John. “Another wedding dress” was Marita’s wish. I have been getting ideas from chemist shops (they love gift boxes) and jewelry shops.

    We are going to visit my 95 year old sister in Palmerston North who they love in early January and will then go to Te Papa - a good learning experience. And of course, the trip to the South island to visit family in late February is now possible for the first time in a very long time.

    Thank you again – and all the best for these busy days leading up to Christmas. We are so grateful to you all.

  • What a lot of love

    We just want to say another huge thank you for your donations and messages of support to Cliff, Marita and John. The family are hoping to put some of this gift towards a South Island visit in the summer to re-connect with family who they haven't been able to see for a long time. This will be the first time in ages that John has traveled - his extra needs have made that very difficult and the little bit of extra coming their way mean they will be able to manage things. And there will be fish n chips! Some have given in other ways too - here is John Price who kindly provided some home kill beef which is now in the freezer. Such bounty!

  • Cliff is overwhelmed at your generosity

    Hi everyone - your generosity is amazing - Cliff is figuring out how is going to break the news to Marita and John. Here's a message he asked me to pass on:

    The generosity of Kiwis never ceases to amaze me I have had to live by my wits nearly all of my adult life.

    To see these gifts rolling in for Marita and John is truly wonderful Thanks to you all.

      Hi Cliff it is December 11 2020 I just saw your video on utube and was so moved at your story I live in the USA and when I went to the site donations were closed I would love to send you and your children something for Christmas be well I hope your surgery went well maggie h
