Cheys journey to a better future ❤️

Hey everyone!

As some of you will know my fiancé Chey has been dealing with "degenerative disc disease L5/S1" since he was 16 years old, he is now 21. He’s been suffering day to day life with constant pain that has been affecting not just his back but his legs at times. This injury has affected his ability to hold a career in many industries as well as stopping him from pursuing his dream careers. As he struggles with day to day life he also struggles to keep up with our 2 year old daughter. This has made it hard for her as she does not understand why Daddy can not play for long and also for myself to pursue a career as he’s unable to be a stay at home Dad while I go out and work. He is currently actively studying to better himself while he waits to have disc replacement surgery. This injury has not only affected him physically but also mentally and emotionally. He’s tried multiple avenues to help the pain all have unfortunately failed so surgery is our final door to a new life. We have recently met a surgeon that is willing to do the surgery as multiple surgeons have denied Chey surgery because of his age. ACC has denied Chey funding to get surgery, they have put it down to wear and tear and not the cause of a single incident. We have had a long talk about his opinions and have also had family and close friends to help us along the past few weeks. This disc replacement surgery is $60,000 not including any after care fees that Chey may need while in recovery. We are thinking of other ways to help make surgery possible but this give a little page has also been created to help us.
