On the 19th of September, I will be shaving my head for cancer.
I have been thinking about doing this for many years now as I have many close family and friends whom are battling or have lost their battle to this dreadful illness.
At the beginning of this year, a dear friend of mine, Nydia Aloaina, was diagnosed with Gastric/Stomach Cancer. Since then, this mother of three (3) has had to resign from her job and now travels back and forth Samoa to New Zealand for Chemotherapy treatments.
I have decided to take a stand against cancer by shaving my head during my 'Chichi 4 Cancer Fundraising', in support of my dear friend Nydia.

The money raised will be gifted to my friend Nydia Aloaina to
help with her airfares, doctors fees, medications, and living expenses
amounting to over NZD $40,000.00"
