Embarking on the humbling experience of volunteering abroad, bringing chiropractic care to those people who cannot access health care.
Auckland
My name is Olivia and I am currently in my third year of studying to become a registered chiropractor at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
Part of my learning this year is to travel to Rarotonga with my peers to provide free chiropractic care to the community for a week. While this is an amazing opportunity it also comes at a cost, which is why I have started this Givealittle page.
I am currently studying full time, working as an intern at the Chiropractic Centre in Mount Wellington and also doing other part-time work to help with my living costs. I would be very grateful for any support you can give me to help me get to Rarotonga which will not only help my own professional development but also provide much-needed care to the local people of Rarotonga. I need to raise $3,000.00 by the 9th of June 2018.
A little bit about my background: I first discovered chiropractic in my hometown of Napier during an observation week at school. I got to see three chiropractors work first hand on all walks of life and witness how their skill changed peoples lives. Chiropractic care has helped me in so many aspects of my health and this is why I want share this with the world, starting off with Rarotonga.
Family is very important to me as I am the youngest of five children. I am an avid sportswoman and have played hockey, surf life saving and swimming. Some may say that helping people is in my blood as I have been a volunteer lifeguard since the age of 14. I am a very hard worker and always think of others before myself.
Please support me in my goal to become the best chiropractor I can me and provide care for the people of Rarotonga!
