Tanya is a 49 year old mother of 3 children and 2 grandchildren and amazing friend of many. After an already devastating year and losing her father to cancer and her close friend to a heart attack Tanya was unfortunately diagnosed with Stage 3 Grade 3 aggressive breast cancer. She has a large high grade, non - luminal HER2 positive tumor that is growing rapidly and already at 6cm. Unfortunately the best cancer treatment that Tanya needs to fight this terrible disease is not funded at all leaving Tanya to have to find a way to pay for it. This chemotherapy treatment called Pertuzumab is at a starting cost of $45,000 just to begin the process and increases Tanya's survival rate immensely and the percentage of the cancer re- acurring by 80%. Tanya will also have to have a mastectomy, hormone therapy, radiation and chemotherapy for the rest of the year. Tanya has already started alternative treatment in the meantime that has had some toxic and bad response to her already weak body. She is still fighting positively everyday and will try every option that is available to her until she has won her fight against cancer.
