I am cutting off 35cms of my hair to donate to be made into a wig while also raising money for Women's Refuge.
Waikato
On Friday, 20th of September I am participating in Chop the Mop where I am cutting off 35cm of my hair which will be donated to be made into a wig.
Money raised will be donated to Women's Refuge.
I have been growing my hair for two years. To donate the hair, it has to be natural with no colouring. It's been a labour of neglect to get it long enough ;) This is probably my last time being able to support this as grey hair is sneaking in more and more which excludes it from donation. The hair is sent to Freedom wigs who make wigs for New Zealanders with alopecia, cancer-related baldness and other hair loss. In return for this, Freedom wigs will also donate money to Women's Refuge.
I'm excited for Friday - it's a drastic change but one I have a choice in unlike so many that need the wigs.
If you can support me, it is much appreciated and I will update with the after photo :)
Helping raise funds for Charity Week - Women's Refuge is the beneficiary
All money is getting donated to the Hamilton branch of Women's Refuge
