Chris needs $3,000 to pay for a course of meds to help him fight his liver disease. Dig deep!
Auckland
A few days ago Chris Heazlewood wrote on his FB page:
"Walking down karangahape rd en route to Auckland hospital appointment to address my stage four liver disease...$ 80 000 to get nine week course of daily pills off Pharmac..free if I can get on a trial (been waiting 18 months for said trial where I fit the criteria)....$3000 if I arrange independent import of generic....last option becoming very attractive.....appropriately enough am listening to Peter Gutteridge 'Pure'...knowing if he were still here and beside me he would be spitting tacks and lending me huge unwavering love and support. Miss ya buddy"
Chris got turned down for the trial, so his best option is raising $3,000 so that he can buy Softosbuvir and Declatasavir, the meds that Professor Ed Gane says will gibe him a 90% success rate.
so come on all friends and fans of Chris Heazlewood, help a brother out. And you know that Peter Gutteridge would approve.
I'm just a friend trying to co-ordinate this as I know there will be a LOT of people who would like to contribute.
Wow.... 3 December 2015
Less than 24 hours after we started the givealittle page - unbelievable! Chris has the money for his meds. There's been extra funds donated which will be useful for courier costs and customs etc, plus all the natural supplements and minerals that will help Chris through this. Chris wrote this on his FB page: "What can I say to all you lovely people ?...there is a motherlode of thanks and gratitude...Power to the peeps...I am humbled by the generosity of all my friends and acquaintances...really there is no way to express how I am feeling...Will get down to one on ones at a sooner than later date....xXxX" If you still want to donate, please do, as I'm sure there will be extra costs and basically Chris really needs financial help to get through this. Everyone of you are amazing and true to your word. You rock.
