Chris’s new (old) car fund! 🚘

My name is Chris, and I was recently involved in a significant car crash, which led to my car being destroyed as a result 🙁

Although I had been driving very carefully in some nasty weather, the driver of another car decided to treat a red traffic light as more of a suggestion, rather than as an instruction. They came right out of nowhere and hit me, destroying the rear end of my car.

Fortunately, no one was physically harmed.

For anybody who does not know me or my story, I live a nomadic lifestyle, in which I travel around from place to place, never staying in one place for more than a couple of months, working odd jobs, making just enough money to keep me alive, and to continue travelling around and meeting new people and engaging in new experiences.

As well as being my form of transportation, my car serves as the home to all of my possessions. My car *is* ultimately my home.

I had a little bit of money kept aside for emergency car repairs, but in no way do I have the kind of money I now need for purchasing an entirely new (old) car.

Well, I am typically such a careful driver, and because I always take care to keep my car where I (or many) can see it, I felt that paying for an insurance policy was needless. In hindsight, that was foolish 🤦‍♂️

A couple of friends suggested for me to give this fundraising a go, so I figure I have nothing to lose 🙂
