Chrissy, nurse and generous giver all of her life, is seeking help for partially funded ovarian cancer treatment (Avastin).
Taranaki
Chrissy, affectionately named Mana by the eldest of her five moko's, has given her life to serving others.
A skilled and respected nurse, Mana's life was turned upside down just short of retirement when she walked off her hospital shift as a nurse, and walked in the next day as a patient.
Receiving a diagnosis of stage 4 ovarian cancer was never in the plans for Mana, and, like most things in her life, she's approached this challenge full of mana and determination.
Mana's journey has come to the point where she is facing the opportunity of partially funded treatment (Avastin). This treatment will be in the tens of thousands of dollars, plus travel and expenses to administer the treatment. With Mana unable to work at the moment, and entitlement to paid leave exhausted, any help towards her treatment will be graciously received.
Mana (Chrissy) is my Mum.
Partially subsidised anti-cancer treatment, plus travel and expenses to administer the treatment.
Thank you from Chrissy 25 August 2022
Sometimes things happen in life, and then other things happen as a result...the Givealittle page has been such a humbling experience and has resulted in me being able to go ahead and have the treatment in Palmerston North. So this is a note of gratitude and sincere thanks to each and every one of you for your generosity and support, we as a family are so appreciative to you all for your gestures. Best wishes to you all, Nga mihi ki a koutou, Chrissy and whànau
