CHRISTCHURCH PENGUIN REHABILITATION
Please help us to keep up our efforts to look after these beautiful birds, many of them facing extinction. We have the required DoC permit.

In cooperation with DoC and the CCC we are the only rescue center for penguins of all kinds in the upper South Island. We work closely together with local vets and the South Island Wildlife Hospital outside Willowbank Wildlife Reserve.
We admit starving and injured Little Blue penguins but also Yellow-eyed penguins and Fjordland-crested penguins from the West Coast.
DoC rangers and members of the public like you help us to locate these penguins and bring them in for treatment. The penguins will be assessed, treated and rehabilitated for release back into the wild if possible. We are specially trained to care for penguins (such as injections, tube-feeding, wound dressing, iv drips, etc.)

Use of funds
Your donation will help us to provide food (200-1000g fish/day/bird) and medication for the birds. We regularly need salmon, anchovies and sardines for feeding.

We were speechless! Your generosity enables us to cover fish/medical costs for the next couple of seasons. The penguins have started to lay eggs and we expect a tough season due the warming seas (meaning less fish)...Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!
