  • Latest update re Work

Hi Folks once again I need to clarify my working position , there was an official vote done by a Lawyer acting on behalf of my bosses and it was voted 15 to 9 that the club I work for remain open , however because of financial distress from previous lack of management , the office will officially close on 31st March . Because I love my job so much I have offered to work from home without pay until at such times my employer can actually get sufficient funds to pay me which could be some time as there is also a hefty lawyers bill to pay as well , I have not mislead anyone and have been upcoming and honest in all that I have said , People seem to be continually reporting my page without knowing the full facts , also the media don't always print correct facts but they are totally aware of what the full situation is regarding my employment and they have been advised by a huge group to keep it quiet , which alas hasn't happened and now its getting all blown out of proportion . In the meantime I am still swollen and bruised from my final operation .

Well its finally over , my last operation has been done which took close to 7 hours , I feel a lot better this time in myself and have gone back to work as we need the money , I am also on the look out for a new job since my old one finishes in March and the closure of a club that's 40 yrs old , seems a shame but as I have been told I am only an employee and have no rights . I would like to personally thank everyone that has donated and helped me over the time frame of these operations as its been a complete financial burden off our shoulders and without it , We would have failed .

  • Re Christines Employment and clarification

      9 February 2018
    Main image

Christine received a letter in August 2017 saying her job was closing and she would be unemployed , we are on the Invalids Benefit and have been for some time because of Christines limitations and she has worked part time for 7 years ,

she has been doing 15 hours per week work which will officially end on March 31st if not earlier as have a meeting on 12th March to finalise the complete closure of the office and her employment ,

sorry there has been a bit of confusion dating back to August 2017 this was not our intention , we are on a benefit , we are also bringing up two grandchildren that are in our permanent care and have been for over 2 years , Christine has worked part time where she has paid secondary tax as our Benefit has been our main income source and without the generosity of all who donated , we would now be certainly bankrupt . There are 6 members within our family an 18 yr old who does a course , a 24 yr old who also has NF1 and is on the benefit because of this as he has multiple health issues that are far worse than Christines and then myself and my wife and the two grandkids . The reality is yes we do struggle sometimes but know where near as to what we have had to endure over the last 12 mths with Christines health , I hope this helps in some way and if anyone needs any more information please feel free to ask .

Well after seven years of work they have decided she is expendable and now has no job . The financial strain is beyond a joke and we are now really struggling to pay our bills , I feel like crap writing this , but we have no where else to turn we really need help more than ever to survive and try to become debt free . It seems we just cannot win , one door opens then it closes straight away , were expecting surgery again in February and Christine is wondering if it was really worth it and can we really afford too spend more time in Dunedin with our family . Seriously folks its not a joke the reality is , No job , bills to pay , hospital for final operation and minimum income to try and survive , So Please I am pleading now if anyone can help us , do it now as we need it more than ever , God Bless you all .

We just received a phone call from Dunedin Hospital after we have booked and paid for our accommodation in Dunedin advising us that the operation has been cancelled because of an acute patient and that nothing could be done about it . We have already made plans and commitments so instead of us losing out on what we have paid , Hubby and me will still be going to stay in Dunedin as will be the first time we have been able to get away alone in 30 years , so operation is now planned for February .

Well tomorrow on our way back to Dunedin for my final stage on Friday the 22nd December , they will be attempting to fix a hole in my eardrum , realign my right eye and place a gold weight within the eyelid , refill my right cheek with my own fat , and realign my right side of mouth so its not drooping , I am not anticipating on staying in Hospital over xmas , but given past history it doesn't look great . My husband and I will be the only ones travelling this time with it being Christmas and if by chance I am kept in and issues arise , my hubby will travel back on Sunday to be with our family for xmas day . So everyone may all your wishes and dreams come true and MERRY CHRSTMAS to all .

Well not long to go now until the 22nd of December and were back in Dunedin Hospital for the final stage and last operation hopefully , I have enclosed a black and white photo of Christine before surgery and will take a final one after this op so we can all compare the difference that Mathew Leaper and his team have made , Its been a long journey and an expensive one too , with accommodation been the biggest killer , I have maxed out my credit cards and if it was not for the generosity of everyone that's donated we would be Bankrupt as a result . Every donation has helped so much and we cannot thank people enough for what they have done for us and our family , so god bless and Merry Christmas to all .

Well today people Christine collapsed and is now back in Hospital with same symptoms as last time for renal failure , blood tests have been done and waiting on the results , we spent about one and a half hours at Kew Hospital and came out to go have tea and some lowlife had decided to Key my Van once again on the left front guard in front of security cameras at the Hospital , so they are going to review footage tonight for us , Christine is supposed to go back up to Dunedin for her final operation on the 22nd December , so are all booked for that already , any donation no matter how small will help us at this difficult time of year and god bless for the help already received , words cannot express the gratitude we feel by the generosity of all .So Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy new Year XXXX.

Well Christine is now home and doing well ,She is expected to have follow up surgery hopefully before xmas to do her eardrum , eye lid gold weight and just a few tidy ups , took our van into painters today and will be without it for just over 2 weeks as every panel bar the actual back door was damaged , I still cannot comprehend why anyone would have stooped so low as to have done what they did and the work isn't cheap ,Glad I have insurance but alas I lose my 75% no claims bonus and premiums will go up next year as will my excess , and I would personally like to thank the parasites who did this . ( Thank You ) Oh well cannot wallow as life still goes on , so smile and be happy .

After spending 6 weeks in Dunedin , Isis finally let us bring Christine home , she needs help still but its not a hassle for us and its a pleasure to give back since she has put up with my crap for 32 years , My turn now lol .

It will take time to get her back to where she was physically and emotionally , but we will get there . We have requested a complete media block as now is the time for Family and we intend to stick to this. Thanking everyone that has supported us on our Journey , she still has one more operation before its finally over and this will be done at a later date when she is well enough to do so .

well nearly 4.5 weeks in Dunedin and Christine is still not well , she will be transferred to ISIS rehabilitation in the morning where she will be in for a very long road to recovery , its been an expensive venture for us all given there are five of us and accommodation costs are a killer and so is food , we thank everyone that has donated as if not we would be on financially ruined now as associated costs are incredible and more than what we anticipated , Dunedin isn't cheap like Invercargill .We have never asked for or needed help ever and feel guilty in seeking it , but without it we will crash financially , so once again we thank you all .I hope the picture isn't to graphic and am sorry if I offend anyone by posting it .

Christine certainly was in renal failure and Kew Hospital have been great getting on top of things , she may have had a mini stroke too , so she is going to sent to ISIS in Dunedin for rehabilitation which could take some time , I myself know of there reputation and I could not be more pleased as she will have one on one care , still a long road ahead , but the faith I have in ISIS is beyond comprehension , Its perfect .

Christine was rushed to Hospital in an Ambulance yesterday with a suspected TIA , Drs thought stroke as well or infection to the brain , they did blood tests and a cat scan , scan showed nothing but blood tests revealed she is in Kidney Failure , MRI this morning then possible transfer too Dunedin via the chopper . I will do a further update once I know more and plans are in motion .

at the moment Christine saw Mathew Leaper at the ENT in Invercargill on Friday unfortunately her ear is starting to die so we are travelling back to Dunedin on Wednesday morning the 30th August for an urgent consultation with the specialists to see how and what there approach is going to be , we have also received a lot of negativity because of the give a little page I have setup for my Wife and family for accommodation costs which are not cheap plus food , gas , etc etc etc . We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts who have helped and its been a remarkable journey and its still on going as well , Christine has also found out that her Job of seven years is no longer open , so she is now unemployed

Christine went into surgery on Tuesday morning at 7.30 am and came out of theatre at 12.48 am on Wednesday morning , she was placed in ICU and been the woman she is was transferred to the Surgical ward 3 11B that afternoon , the surgeons took bone from her shin bone and modelled a new cheek bone then placed tummy fat into the cheek to fill it out they also fixed her ear canal and repaired a damaged ear drum as well they also fixed her droopy eye but damaged the nerve so she cannot close it by herself and she will have this repaired when they get her back for the second operation where they will place a gold weight within her eye lid which works wonders so I have been told , she is not lucid as yet and may not be for quite a few days yet but rest assured she is on some very good fairy meds , we would as a family like to thank everyone in New Zealand whom has donated and given well wishes to Christine during this very long awaited operation and also to the surgeons who have achieved what they set out to do .
