Christmas Box Canterbury 2022

Christmas Box started with the belief that charity begins at home, delivering Christmas gift-wrapped food boxes to local families in need. Today, we see the impact of Kiwis feeding Kiwis as this project responds to the ever-increasing needs across our nation.

Christmas Box originates from The Life Centre Trust (an Auckland-based community organisation under LIFE) who in 2022 along with 495+ Government and Community agencies, will oversee the donations, the packing and distribution of thousands of food boxes to families in need throughout Auckland, Kaikohe, Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Palmerston North, Napier, Porirua, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill.

One Christmas Box caters for families of 4-6, helping supplement breakfast, lunch and dinner meals over a week. The value of the box is $70, but with generous sponsorship and donations from businesses, the box ends up costing $40.

Life Church Christchurch is the point church in Canterbury to raise the money, contact organisations to distribute to needy families throughout Christchurch and organise packing the 3,200 boxes ready for distribution.
