Christmas Gift Baskets for Families at Ronald McDonald House Wellington

This Christmas, I’m creating gift baskets for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Wellington, and I would love your support.

As a part of my IB CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) project, I wanted to do something meaningful for families going through a challenging time, especially during the holidays, when it can feel even harder to be away from home.

Ronald McDonald House provides support to families who have children receiving treatment at Wellington Hospital. Many of these families spend long days in the hospital, far from their usual routines and comforts. My goal is to create thoughtful, practical, and uplifting gift baskets that help bring even a small moment of comfort and joy during the Christmas season.

All funds raised will go directly toward purchasing new items such as snacks, toiletries, small activities for children, stationery, and a small Christmas decoration for each family. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a real difference.

The beneficiaries are the families currently staying at Ronald McDonald House Wellington. I am not selecting the families myself as the House staff will distribute the gift baskets to the families staying there over the Christmas period. Ronald McDonald House already identifies and supports the families, and my role is to create and deliver the baskets for staff to hand out in hope to spread some Christmas joy.
