Citizens Advice Wellington needs your support

$575 donated
Given by 10 generous donors in 27 days

We give people practical advice and support that they urgently need to understand their rights and access vital services they need.

Wellington

You can help support your community and help fund Citizens Advice Wellington by making a donation today. Your gift helps us work across five Wellington branches: Central, Johnsonville, Karori, Kilbirnie and Newtown.

We provide free, confidential, independent information and advice to help people know what their rights are and how to access services they need. We are available face to face, over the phone or via chat so people have options that work for them.

We work for positive social change. We use insights from our clients' experiences to show when policies and laws are having a negative impact on people. People are faced with many challenging situations and in an era of mis- and disinformation and we are here to help.

We are an independent community charity organisation whose service is delivered by over 120 committed and trained volunteers.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
