Claudia was 5 when she was treated for her first brain tumour. Surgery removed some of it, followed up with over a year of chemotherapy. The tumour was stable for 6 years. Unfortunately last November it returned and she has now lost all sight in her left eye. More damage will occur if Claudia's treatment is not soon.
Update for 28/02/2014 28 February 2014
Hi everyone, Mum and I are leaving for Dunedin Hospital this Sunday the 2nd for three days to make a frame for my head. The frame is needed to immobilise my skull in treatment. It is made very carefully and specifically for me using information from my scans. We'll fly back home again on Wednesday, then it's back to Dunedin on Sunday 9th March to start the Stereotactic Radiotherapy, and we won't be back home until the 24th April. This will be a long time away from Courtney and my little dog Zoe! Courtney and Dad will come to visit some weekends. We are so grateful for the generosity of everyone who has donated to me via this page. Originally we set up the page because we had hoped to raise money to receive the Stereotactic Radiotherapy privately; and while I am lucky to have been accepted for public treatment at Dunedin Hospital, the money that is being raised will help us relieve the burden of being away from home and work. From my family and I, thank you so much. Claudia xx
