Clean New Zealand

Kiri Danielle is inspired by her love for nature and her desire to see New Zealand be the beautiful clean green country it's famous for. She's determined to reverse the damage being done and 'Clean New Zealand'.

Kiri is motivated by her love for nature, her childhood memories of a cleaner NZ and wanting to leave behind a cleaner, healthier environment for our children. As a child Kiri could swim in almost any river, finding litter on the beach was rare and the roadways weren't as littered as they are now - with bottles, fast food rubbish and plastic bags full of trash flung out car windows.

Kiri's dream is to unite the country and inspire a shift in consciousness towards how we value our natural environment. Kiri wants a cleaner New Zealand for us all. Kiri wants us to truly be "Clean Green New Zealand".

Kiri's an early childhood teacher, trained journalist an actively advocates for Mother Nature in schools. She aims to leads by example, cleaning illegal dumpsites and removing litter from waterways, rest areas and roadsides with determination.

All donations to this Give a Little page will go towards strengthening her work and ensuring she can continue.

Kiri is working towards a 'Clean New Zealand Trust into which all donations will be transferred once established.

Kiris goals are to:

-Inspire love and appreciation for nature, including New Zealands unique biodiversity and ecosystems.

-Raise awareness of the litter problem in NZ, and it's impact on the environment.

-Encourage and support proper waste disposal, recycling and sustainability nationwide.

-Educate and inform on environmental issues, with a view to inspiring change.

-Investigate, present and promote solutions to current environmental challenges.

-Engage with schools, community groups and businesses to encourage care for the environment and sustainable practices.

-Initiate and support Official 'Clean New Zealand' clean ups and events throughout the country.

-Fund media campaigns to promote the cause, including online activities, television, radio, billboards and mobile applications.

-Support clean-ups initiated by individuals, community groups and businesses who wish to join the efforts to 'Clean New Zealand'.

-Support research into environmentally friendly technologies and products.

-Provide information for businesses wishing to improve sustainability.

-Hold yearly "Clean New Zealand" conferences.

-Develop and maintain a "Clean New Zealand" website.

-Support education initiatives which help develop future environmental leaders, scientists and caretakers who will continue to restore and protect New Zealand's environment into the future.
