We need your help to save our beautiful dogs/fur baby's life. Cleo needs surgery done on her leg to save her life.
Taranaki
Our beautiful black lab cross dog has unfortunately been hit by a car. the people that have hit her never told us though, we just found her in agony soon after it had happened. She was taken to the vet and we have been told she needs to go to Massey university to have Surgery done on her leg to save her life.
Cleo is a fun loving, gentle, kind, playful black lab cross. She has been a part of mine and my husbands family ever since we got together. We got her a couple of months after we first started dating. She is now part of our growing family. We have a 4 year old little boy, a 2 year old little boy and now a 5 month old little girl. Our 2 boys just adore her she is a huge part of our family.
Cleo's surgery and vet bills will be over 4 grand in total and we are currently not in a state to be able to spend that much, but there is no way we want our girl put down. Even just saying that brings me to tears.
Everyone that has the pleasure of meeting our beautiful, kind natured pup can tell you just how amazing she is! She is truly an awesome dog. Everyone just loves her, some even try and claim her as their own.
Cleo is mine and my family's dog/fur baby and we are wanting to raise the funds to pay for Cleo's vet bill and her $3500 operation we have a young family and are only on one wage, so things are already normally pretty tight. With adding the extra stress of our fur baby now needing very expensive surgery to save her life. Any help big or small is appreciated in ways I can't even put into words.
Cleo's vet appointment 16 January 2017
Today myself and my brother drove down to Palmerston North for Cleo's appointment with the surgeon.
She was assessed and they ran through what our options were for her. There was a very slim chance of using a cast to try and let her heal naturally. With the vets advice and talking it through we decided to go with the surgery, which would definitely fix her leg. Which has either been performed this afternoon or tomorrow.
We will be picking her up on Friday and bringing her home to be confined for 6 weeks while she heels. During this time we have to take her to our local vets for weekly check ups and to have her cast rebandaged. So there are going to be ongoing costs to help her recover.
The initial price estimate they gave us for the surgery actually covered the after care and the care she had already had from our local vets. So every cent that is donated is going towards helping our beautiful girls recovery.
We truely appreciate every bit of support we get. Thank you to all those that are continuing to share our page and donate. And for those that give us their well wishes. Xox
