Climbing Kilimanjaro for Charity

$470 of $5,000 goal
Given by 8 generous donors in around 4 months

This year in July I will be climbing Kilimanjaro to fundraise money and awareness for a boys orphanage in Kenya.

Auckland

Hi everyone,

Thank you for looking at this page. I am so excited to be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in July. This has been a personal goal of mine for a long time and I am very pleased to have the opportunity to incorporate this challenging climb as a fundraising method too.

I am raising money for the orphanage we run in Kenya – Duncan’s Boys’ Home. The orphanage consists of 11 boys. All these boys have a background of poverty. Our goal is to give them top education, shelter and a healthy lifestyle to provide them with the tools to achieve self-improvement and to be able to function in society as a citizen that can make a positive impact to himself and others.

I will be funding the cost of the climb myself - no donations made on this site will go towards paying for the climb, it's all going directly to charity.

Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa, and the highest free-standing mountain in the world at a little over 19,000 feet. Mount Kilimanjaro peaks at 5895m above sea level, making the altitude one of the most challenging aspects.

I will keep you up to date with my progress on Facebook where you will see pictures and updates on the completion of the climb, but most importantly see the money reach the orphanage :)

Thanks so much for all you support. I'm incredibly thankful
