Help Andrea raise $30,000 to afford a cochlear implant.
Wellington
A life-long hearing impairment has not stopped Andrea from succeeding as a wife, and mother to two little boys (one of whom has recently recieved two publicly funded cochlear implants).
Now Andrea is turning her attention to re-training and re-entering the workforce as a primary school teacher.
Andrea is fortunate enough to have recieved one life changing, publicly funded cochlear implant. While one implant enables her to hear well, she struggles to ascertain which direction sounds are coming from, with her sense of direction completely lost in noisy environments.
To enable Andrea to successfully re-train and re-enter the workforce and manage in a noisy primary school environment she requires a second implant. At a cost of $30,000 it is not something we can afford on our own.
Funds will be used to purchase a choclear implant. Any excess funds will be donated to the Southern Cochlear implant trust.
