Cody Unkovich's Under 16 World Snooker Tripto Russia

I am privileged to have been given the opportunity to represent NZ in the World under 16 Snooker Championships that are being held in Russia during August of this year.

My coach Stephen Gupwell and I have been working very hard on the snooker table for the last 18 months to achieve this goal. I have attended the NZBSA development camps and have recieved a lot of support and tuition from having attended these.

I attended and played in the Oceania Tournament this year which was my first time playing at an international level. I learnt a lot from the experince and I am applying that knowledge to my game.

My trip to Russia will give me the opportunity to compete for NZ at a world level but will also give me the experince that I need to grow as a sportsperson and to further my abilities on the Snooker table.

Snooker is my passion, I practice 5-6 days a week on the table, practicing anywhere between 3-8 hours each session. I am very dedicated and driven, setting goals for myself to achieve on and off the table.

I work full time and will soon be undertaking a Building Apprenticeship.

I am very fortunate to have amazing support from a lot of local players and clubs in my area, and my family and friends.

Any and all donations to help me achieve my goals will be gratefully appreciated. The funds will be used to pay for my travel and accomodation costs whilst attending the under 16 World Snooker Championships in Russia.
