Community BBQ Baigent Reserve

  • Invite to new Baigent Reserve BBQ next Saturday

    As a fundraising donor for our new Baigent BBQ, we wanted to be sure that you got the invite to the launch next Saturday.

    We are delighted to invite you to the launch of our brand new BBQ at Baigent Reserve on Saturday 22 May at midday (postponed if wet).

    Following the fundraising campaign in July last year to purchase the BBQ through a Melbourne based manufacturer, the unit finally landed in Tasman in December 2020.

    Recently with Council and Nelmac’s help we have built a shelter for the BBQ at the Baigent memorial and are now ready for the launch.

    We will supply sausages, slow cooked onions, bread & tomato sauce, so please bring whatever you may wish to drink.

    If you wish to join us, please email chair@tasmancommunity.org.nz to advise the number of adults and children, so we can adequately cater for the event.

  • Final update to Baigent BBQ fundraiser

      1 September 2020

    Once again many thanks for your kind donation which has allowed us to meet our target.

    The BBQ has been ordered in Melbourne and is in production. We expect it to be shipped at the end of October and are planning an early summer community BBQ to celebrate its arrival sometime in November.

  • Great progress with BBQ fundraiser
