Community Kai fundraising
A place for people to support RECAP Community Kai.

Kia ora. RECAP Community Kai (formerly RECAP Rescued Food Distribution) has been operating since August of 2021. We collect (and are donated) food from various sources to provide a fee, no questions asked bag of kai to anyone who needs one. This service runs on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15 from the back entrance to the Ashhurst Community Library. Like other similar services, we are experiencing a drop in donations and food available for us to collect this year so we are asking for monetary donations to assist us in continuing to run this service.
About us
RECAP Community Kai is a service operated by RECAP (The Society for the Resilience and Engagement of the Communities of Ashhurst and Pohangina) where we provide residents with a free, no questions asked bag of kai once a week.
Use of funds
Food for the free, no questions asked bags of kai we give out in Ashhurst.
