The Auckland Zoo Conservation Fund is an independent sub-fund of Auckland Communities Foundation.
It is managed by Auckland Zoo staff to support wildlife conservation projects at Auckland Zoo, throughout New Zealand and around the world.

Auckland Zoo supports the work of the Auckland Zoo Conservation Fund by providing administrative and fundraising resources. The Zoo also donates $1 from every GA ticket and a percentage of commercial sales to the fund.

Auckland Zoo is committed to saving endangered species. While providing exceptional care for the animals onsite, Auckland Zoo is also a key particpant in conservation projects throughout New Zealand and around the world.
A third of all known mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians are threatened with extinction (International Union for Conservation of Nature).
