Contribute To Restoring Habitat for New Zealand Sea Lions at Smaills Beach, Dunedin

Dunedin, Otago

Welcome to Tomahawk Smaills Beachcare Trust, a charitable organisation committed to restoring the environment of Smaills Beach and Tomahawk in Dunedin. For 20 years we've grown native plants for restoration projects and to support biodiversity. Our nursery is more than just a place to grow plants - it unites volunteers, locals, and nature enthusiasts who share a passion for environmental conservation.

We work closely with our community and with local disability service providers, youth development programs, volunteer clubs, and educational institutes including primary, secondary, and tertiary students. Together, we have made much progress towards our goal of planting native trees and shrubs to improve biodiversity, create habitat for rare and endangered New Zealand Sea Lions, and ensure that future generations have the opportunity to enjoy nature.

Our original Shadehouse has served us greatly but now needs to be replaced. We need your support to build a new Shadehouse and a Volunteer Shelter. Join us in this vital conservation effort!

Your Support Matters:

We can't do this alone. Your donation directly contributes to the support of these two very important projects, our new Shadehouse and Volunteer Shelter- every contribution, big or small, makes a significant impact, Thank you.
