What does the New Zealand Nutrition Foundation need?
The New Zealand Nutrition Foundation needs money to run a series of cooking programmes for older people. Our programmes have shown a high level of success in improving cooking skills, confidence and motivation to cook. This is important because poor nutrition and social isolation can be significant contributors to diminished well being and old age.
Our 8-week hands on cooking programme brings people together in a fun and interactive way.
The NZNF is a registered charity so any donations over $5.00 can receive a donation receipt to claim a tax credit. Every donation is warmly appreciated.
Hello my name is Anna Mrkusic and I am the Project Manager for the New Zealand Nutrition Foundation national cooking programme. My role is to manage programme delivery, organise project funding and to establish key partnerships. I have a deep interest in nutrition and believe that older people can live independent healthy lives with support and encouragement.
We provide up-to-date information about food, nutrition and health to our members, colleagues and stakeholders - and the general public, through websites, (see www.nutritionfoundation.org.nz, and www.justcook.co.nz), public and health professional events, the production and distribution of nutrition resources, media commentary, newsletters and e-news and more recently, an ambitious social media plan.
