House Fire Fund

Early Tuesday morning, February 21st, a very special Cook Island Family’s Mangere House, caught on fire. http://www.stuff.co.nz/auckland/89622827/Mangere-East-house-fire-destroys-bathroom

Thankfully no one was injured in the house fire and everyone got out safely. There were 20 family members living in the house at the time ranging in age from a baby to a Grandmother. The roof of the house is completely burnt and the family will not be able to go back in for at least 5 months; kind family and friends have offered their homes to this amazing family for the time being as they recover from this disaster.

This is the most kind and generous family I know, they always have an door open or a hand out to help anyone in need. I am asking you to please open your hearts in aiding the family with any amount of donation you can provide at this time. The family have house insurance to cover the cost of the rebuild by sadly no contents insurance to cover their contents inside the house. Our love and prayers are with the Family; anything you can give will help.

This poor family has literally lost everything, fleeing their burning home with not even shoes on their feet! The young children went to kindergarten and school today with no shoes today, it is just heart breaking.
