Raising money on a Rickshaw

My friends and I have decided to embark on The Rickshaw Run. This is an event created by The Adventurists, a couple of lads from England. In short, we load in to tuktuks and drive for 2 weeks from southern to northern India, experiencing the culture, exploring the sights and sampling the exquisite cuisine.

Whilst this is going to be an amazing adventure in its own right, as part of trip we need to raise $1000 (£500) per team for the Cool Earth charity.

Cool Earth's focus is on protecting the rainforest and tackling climate change, while also supporting the well-being and livelihoods of the people in those communities.

After all, taking care of the people is key to protecting the rainforest. Their very existence is the reason rainforest still remains intact.

Their role is to make their lives easier so they can continue doing just that.

Since 2007, they have provided cash directly and unconditionally to rainforest communities, helping to maintain forest loss rates below 1% in our partnerships in Peru, Papua New Guinea and The Congo Basin.

We currently have 9 people/3 teams and we hoping to convince even more friends to join us.
