Cost to repair ignition for Kahira's car being stolen and used in a Ram Raid in Otaki

Kahira's car was stolen in the early hours of the morning and used by youths to ram raid Otaki Super Liquor.

Car is unfortunately not insured due to limited finances. With food cost going up Kahira is unable to cover this cost herself.

Two towing costs of $300 the car was towed from where they youths dumped it to Levin and then to Waikanae as it was undrivable.

The Ignition which was broken by the youth, that destroyed it. Replacement is costing $700.

The car stunk of alcohol and broken glass all over the car.

Kahira is well known for her loving nature and helping others. She drove my husband to Wellington Hospital for his radiotherapy treatment for 5 weeks every weekday.

Kahira looks after her two of her grandchildren, of which one is autistic. Which makes it important for Kahira to have a car. We have lent her our second car in the meantime. Which she reluctant to take as she was worried it might also get stolen. I pointed out she needed a car if the boys had to go to hospital in the night.

We would love to help her pay for something that was out her control. My husband and I will pay for the towing. We are just asking if anyone would like to add a little for us to get to $650 as weI have already received a private donation of $50.
