Kelly and Craig's Road to Recovery 💗

Palmerston, Otago

As you know Craig was hit by a logging truck, thankfully he is here to tell the story, sadly he has a very long road to recovery around 6 to 9 months, he has many many broken bones and undergoing surgery as we speak to put his broken body back together,

This is going to be a huge undertaking on Craig and Kelly financially traveling in and out of Dunedin, hospital stays, room stays and rehabilitation, so if you are in a position to help them out even $5 it will be so greatly appreciated, just to help take a bit of that burden away for them especially since they will be down an income source for some time. ACC will provide some support, but the costs will exceed the amount provided. Thank you.

Latest update

A quick update and a thank you   25 April 2026

Just an update from the hospital …. Craig has come thru the knee and foot operation ok. Bit of pain as you would expect as they have tried to rebuild his leg with bone grafts as it is smashed pretty bad.

Yesterday we got told he will have to stay in dunedin in care for the next maybe 12 weeks as hes not to put any weight on that leg at all.

That was a huge blow for us as we were both looking forward to him coming home and wasnt aware how bad the leg was damaged.

Also a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all that have donated money towards Craig's Recovery, it's hugely appreciated and so overwhelming the love and support given to Craig and Kelly, Craig really does have a long road ahead but he will get there. Thanks again everyone xx

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
