Biking the length of Aotearoa, fundraising for a community bike workshop
Dunedin, Otago
I'm not a cyclist. But I'm about to set off on a 3,000km journey along Aotearoa from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
Until a few months ago, I knew next to nothing about bikes, so have had to learn a bunch. Luckily, I came across Crooked Spoke.
Crooked Spoke supports the community to fix their bikes and also gives away bikes for a koha. They are absolute legends who are run by volunteers and donations. Biking around town and for transport is awesome, but learning how to fix my own mode of transport is super empowering.
I want to pay it forward and help Crooked Spoke to get more tools and parts, so more people can get on their bikes!
If you have some spare $$ please chip in. Or if you happen to have bikes / parts you no longer need please take them along to the Crooked Spoke.
