Zane and Grant are taking on the unpredictable waters of the Cook Strait - stepping outside their comfort zone for Marlborough kids
Marlborough
MARLBOROUGH
Growing the best mussels
Growing the best grapes
Growing the best children!!
Unpredictable and unforgiving - the Cook Strait is an infamous stretch of water; the narrow channel and the positioning of the North and South Islands in the Pacific Ocean happens to be such that tidal streams, tidal flow, swells and wind are unbelievably treacherous... but some ideas just can't be ignored!
Kiwi Can challenges kids views on what they are capable of and encourages them to have a 'can do' attitude - something Zane and Grant will need a lot of!
All funds raised from the journey will go toward delivering Kiwi Can in local primary schools. Kiwi Can is a values and life-skills programme for kids aged 5-12 years. Research shows that Kiwi Can builds self-confidence, reduces bullying and reinforces positive behaviour. Kiwi Can is currently delivered in 7 primary schools across the Marlborough region, positively influencing over 700 kids every week.
Graeme Dingle Foundation programmes equip our young people for the future by developing self-belief, resilience, integrity and the strategies to build strong relationships - making a real difference in their lives and the Marlborough of tomorrow!
