I am doing a 358 km cycle ride through Madagascar in September 2017, to raise funds for Obstetric and Gynecological research
The Genesis Research Trust aims to improve the health of the unborn child and its mother, which is acheived by promoting, by all available means, the study of healthy childbearing and diseases of women. They provides financial assistance for medical research and teaching in the field of gynaecology, obstetrics and related fields in paediatrics.
Their website is here: http://www.genesisresearchtrust.com/
I decided to do a 358 km cycle challenge because I am quite frankly terrified of riding a bike, but cycling is just such a fantastic form of transport - it is healthy and doesn't harm the environment. Signing up to this challenge was a way to force myself to get over my fear of cycling, while also raising money for a great cause.
