Fund raising to continue my dream of cycle racing nationally and internationally
International
My life and passion is cycling which I started when I was 12. I've been training ever since and have worked my way up to National success. I now have my first opportunity to race for Cycling New Zealand in Canberra, Australia at the end of April. This I hope, will be the first in a long career representing New Zealand.
I am 16 year old girl attending Lincoln High School, the eldest of three children all of whom are very sporty, which is great for my parents but a financial burden.
Last year I won the South Island Time Trail and Road Race for under 16, won the under 16 National Road Race and the Southern Schools Cycle Tour (Cuddon) and have backed it up this year by winning Canterbury under 17 Time Trail and Le Race (Christchurch to Akaroa) under 17, coming 3rd overall in the Open Womens race.
This week I found out I have been selected by Cycling New Zealand to race in Canberra , Australia, which is a dream come true. All I have to do now is raise the funds to enable me to compete.
I thank you for any support you are able to contribute and I know I will make everyone proud.
Henrietta is very focused, driven and hard working, her dream is to represent NZ and has just earned an opportunity to do so, racing in Canberra, Australia.
The main usage of money raised will cover travel and accommodation costs, with any additional funds going towards race clothing and equipment.
