Assist with funding our handsome little Daemon a Hart Walker so he can stand tall and walk hands free.
Daemon is a lovely intelligent 4 year old boy who loves life. He was born with cerebral palsy so he can't walk. The Hart Walker will provide him the support required to be able to learn to move independently. This has to be funded privately so we are working with the Lions Clubs of the Hutt Valley and the Lions Clubs New Zealand Child Mobility Foundation (CMF) to fund a Hart Walker. The CMF runs a program to have children like Daemon fitted with mobility aids, including follow up clinics, not funded by the health system.
Daemon is an only child and will be five in October. He always laughing and loves being around other people! He was born with a hole in his brain damage (we don't know why but has a secondary diagnosis of cerebral palsy) and has a few other health problems. He was born without the core muscle tone/strength which would allow him to stand or balance himself. He can crawl, but cannot walk - but he can express himself clearly without speech. He now has the opportunity to own a Hart Walker and this would allow him to not only stand - but also walk hands free. The possibilities are awesome - and we would love to see him be able to have the ability and independence to move and participate with the world. Imagine him being able to stand tall and to play with his new school friends later this year! The money raised here will go towards the fundraising effort for the Hart Walker. Thank you.

I, Ian Pratt, am involved because I was formerly a trustee of the CMF and I was asked by them to coordinate a fundraising project with the local Lions Clubs in the Hutt Valley to bring this to fruitition. As part of the family (the Heather's) we require them to set up a Give A Little web page. I am doing this to assist them.
