Helping Dae and his Whānau get through his recovery.
Whangarei, Northland
Dae is a 22-year-old hardworking and talented mechanic who absolutely loves cars and everything about how they work. He loves his family and friends deeply and is the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. Loyal, respectful, and always wearing a cheeky smile that lights up a room, Dae’s kindness, dedication, and positive spirit make him a genuinely good guy who is loved by many.
A few weeks ago, Dae was involved in a serious car accident and was airlifted from Whangārei to Auckland Hospital in critical condition. In the early days he was on life support and things were incredibly touch and go. He suffered serious internal and external injuries and still has a long road of recovery ahead. He is currently in a body brace and is beginning to make small but noticeable improvements every day.
Dae now faces months of recovery, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care. This includes specialist appointments, physiotherapy, travel costs, and the reality of being unable to work for quite some time while his body heals.
From the very beginning, his whānau have been by his side, dropping everything to support him through this journey. As many know, life’s bills and everyday costs don’t pause during times like this, and the situation has created a huge financial strain on the family during an already overwhelming time.
If you’re able to help, even the smallest donation would mean the world.
I’m creating this page because I love this family like my own. I’ve known them for many years and they are the kind of people who would drop everything to help others. Now it’s our turn to rally around them and show the same love and support.
Donations will go toward travel to and from Hospital, Mums accommodation, and helping relieve the financial pressure of everyday living costs while Dae continues his recovery journey. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference. 💛
