Dancing Dreams !!

Hi, my name is Gabriella Osgood and today I woke up to some exciting news - I've been offered a place in a Hip Hop Dance Crew run by Urban Dance !!

When I was three years old my Mom put me in a ballet class. However, instead of learning how to releve and plie, I left the other kids and started break dancing in the corner.

Shortly after, my teacher strongly recommended that I try a different genera of dance.

Since then, I have trained at the Michelle Luca School of Dance and Neverland Studios in Auckland. In 2016 my family and I moved to Tauranga and I started dancing with Urban Dance.

I've performed in two of Urban's productions (Grease in 2016 and Beauty and the Beast in 2017) but what I've always dreamed of doing is competing in a crew. Up until now I haven't had the confidence to audition, so I just watched from the sidelines.

The other day I took a breath and registered for the varsity crew auditions - not confident I would get in at all. While at the audition I got in my head and found it really stressful. I walked out thinking that I failed.

But then this morning, I received an email with the subject line: CONGRATULATIONS GABRIELLA!

For only being fourteen years old, this will be an amazing experience and opportunity for me to grow and develop as a dancer and person in general. Training and taking intensives will take up multiple hours of my week - I'll practically live at the studio. We'll be competing at heaps of different competitions, nationally and internationally.

This is where I need your help! I need to raise funds to help cover the costs of travelling. I've been selling chocolates at school and walking dogs in my neighbourhood. I have also sent my C.V out to multiple places, trying to earn the money myself.

But if you can help me, with a little or a lot, I will be enormously grateful !!
