Danelle's Koha Counselling

$26 of $5,000 goal
Given by 3 generous donors in around 3 months

If you feel like helping a counsellor cover costs but don't need counselling consider donating, every little bit helps.

Taranaki

I'm offering a Koha counselling service in Hawera as a way to get my 200 hours that I need for pre-accreditation with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.

Part of that accreditation is also getting 20 hours supervision which will end up costing me $2530 to get all 20 hours but depending on how fast I get through the 200 I may need more than that.

I don't expect the koha to fully cover this cost which means it won't reach my living costs or any costs associated with this counselling venture (for instance we have spent money to paint up a room in my parent's house to be my counselling space). I would love to try out different therapies such as art therapy but these come at a cost.

If I can cover all my costs I can offer my service for cheaper or for free.

Use of funds

-Supervision

-Costs associated with counselling

-Living costs to take financial stress off my mum

-If the above are covered then funds will contribute to free counselling instead of Koha

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
