Davis Family Reunion - Church Steeple Fundraiser - St John the Baptist Church at Te Waimate
To commemorate the Davis bicentenary help us fundraise to repair the steeple of St John the Baptist Church at Te Waimate.

To commemorate the Davis bicentenary we have been collecting money to repair the steeple of St John the Baptist Church at Te Waimate. And also to hang a bicentenary memorial plaque in the church.
To date we have raised about $2,500. In 2022 the steeple was inspected by a builder recommended by Heritage New Zealand – Pouhere Taonga, a company which uses appropriate materials and techniques to match the age and design of the Church.
Their report stated that it was very difficult to estimate the cost but it could end up being up to $10,000 .
So we have started a Givealitle page to give members of the family who were not able to attend the Reunion an opportunity to help the church.
At the 100th Anniversary the Davis family paid for a beautiful new altar and the 150th Anniversary paid for stained glass windows. Now it is our turn.
