Deborah's Aquabot Expedition to compete in Washington DC, USA
Rotorua, Bay Of Plenty
Deborah is a year 7 student at Rotorua Primary School and one of three members of the aquabot team that won 1st place in the primary division and 2nd place overall at the NZ Aquabot Nationals in December 2022. This earned the team a place at the 2023 International SeaPerch Challenge in Washington DC, USA.
We are fundraising for Deborah and Jeremy (parent and team technician) and see this trip as a lifetime opportunity to further inspire Deborah in engineering and technology as well as world view, history and geography.
Deborah is a hard working student who was voted "most deserving" by her class mates for a sponsored activity, earned the Academic Award for her class of 2022, had a leading solo in the school production, and this year is entering a bilingual class as well as working hard on the technical skills and presentations required for the SeaPerch event.
We would be ever so grateful if you could help her get to America in May.
As Deborah's mother I'm assisting with fundraising efforts.
Flights, accommodation, travel, food, pocket money, additional sight-seeing.
