Denise’s Cancer Healing Journey

My beautiful sister Denise, was diagnosed in June last year with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer with metastasis to her lymph nodes and liver, later spreading to her lungs as well. She was 51 years old and it was a complete shock to us as there is no history of the disease in our family.

She has had to go through a very nasty treatment of radio and chemotherapy and suffered with all the horrible side effects it brings as well.

Last week, after over a year of treatments she had the results of her last scan. The initial tumor on her colon is practically gone, however the metastasis are not reducing which means it is not responding to the treatments. Doctors have advised there is nothing else they can do to help her, they have expired all the treatments available.

One last option would be Immunotherapy. This is a cancer treatment that boosts the body's natural defences to fight cancer. It uses substances made by the body or in a laboratory to improve how your immune system works to find and destroy cancer cells. Unfortunately, this treatment is not subsidised by the government and is very expensive. However, there is a great chance the treatment could help kill the cancer cells and put a stop to them spreading further.

Her journey has led her to also discover a multitude of healing practices. Days, weeks and months have been spent researching articles and reading journals/books. Taking numerous supplements, Naturopaths appointments, changes to her diet along with opening her mind to increasing her spiritual connection through daily exercises and meditation practices.

There are also a number of alternative cancer therapies, more natural therapies (such as ozone, hyperthermia, infrared sauna and Vitamin C IV) that would not harm her body like the conventional ones, which we strongly believe can help kill the cancer but again all very expensive and there is no help from the government as this is not recognised.

Denise has been such a worrior throughout this whole journey and I admire her courage and positivity. She loves the ocean and her plants, she is an amazing mother to her son Anndrey, an amazing sister and a very caring friend.

So that is why I am here asking for your kindness to help her in this journey, to help her to have another chance in life, a chance to see her grandkids, a chance to help others. Every little help counts and I am sure she will be forever grateful.
