We urgently need help. We are going to lose everything and have to split up my family again to try and resolve our hopeless situation.
Southland
We are not people to tell our story, ask for help or even appear to be in need, but the time has come. I am 36 years old, both myself and my Fiancé moved to Southland to be reunited with my mum and my 3 children who had to be relocated back to our home town from Christchurch after February's earthquake and I was required to stay in Christchurch for my work as I could not get assistance if I gave up my full time job to move down here I met my Fiancé as a result of the earthquakes.
We moved to Invercargill with my Fiancé transferring his contract down here and after I secured a 12 month contract with a corporate company. After two and a half months in this job I was forced to resign due to a company restructure and existing staff issues with in the company which meant that I was not able to fulfil the job role due to no training able to be provided to me as the company was now understaffed and the staffing issues were to great for the Manager to deal with. He also stated that down here in Southland we are probably not as PC as the rest of the country.I was advised by HR that I would have to resign as I could not do the work. I was previously employed in the same industry but more technical and larger cases. So I was not able to be trained in the more every day cases and they did not want to have to pay me if I was not able to be trained to do the rest of the job. I got no financial assistance what so ever. And no payout as my contract needed to be terminated due to company issues and threw no fault of my own. On approaching Lawyers to discuss the situation I was told that I had an excellent case but they were not prepared to proceed due to the nature of the company I was previously employed by and as it was a company that had had government intervention and very large. I have applied for over 300 jobs now and as I have a CV which consists of many years of Security, insurance, and other skilled areas. Employers are not able to easily link my CV to fit in with their jobs. I have been applying for every job possible. I have excellent references and skills along with a lot of experience and work history and extremely hard working. Also being in Southland is very limiting for job opportunities
As my Fiancé is employed in the construction industry but does not have any official qualifications to increase his pay rate he is on a low income but above the assistance threshold for government assistance and we are now in the process of having our power and telephone cut off. We are having to sell everything we have and own and move in to a camp ground as we cannot afford to pay rent and need to try and clear some of the debt that is piling up that we cannot pay and then we are going to have to move to another city possibly another country and leave my Mum and my Children here as I cannot afford to move with them and I urgently need to find employment. We do not drink, party go out or spend frivolously we budget to the very last cent. And over recent weeks we have not even been able to buy food.
This has been a very emotional and very stressful time for everybody. The emotional toll that the thought of having to leave the kids behind is just far to great and is now impacting on my health and also impacting on the children and mum as they do not want us to have to leave. Along with the thought of being with no home or car as we cannot afford the repayments so that we can get my Fiancé to his work is just far too much. We are hard working and proud people and this is for us considered an extreme measure for us to come to this page and ask for help
Its all happening 30 October 2015
We have everything we are selling and getting rid of on Facebook selling pages.
We surrendered our beautiful big Baby (The dog) Heidi to the SPCA yesterday was totally devastating. And will be getting our other older dog put down in the next week.
We move to camp ground on the 12/11/2015. Sad and troublesome days
