Devastated for David!!

We as a whanau have had our world turned upside down, our hearts are all pierced with sadness and despair.

My nephew David is 5years old (6 years old in December), was feeling unwell last week and we as a whanau thought it was just a flu or virus. To our devastation, David was rushed to Starship hospital following blood test results from the doctors. Our happy, cheeky and energetic boy has recently been diagnosed with "B cell leukemia ALL".

We as a whanau, of course are devastated by the news, and have been told by doctors we have a long journey ahead of us (approximately 2.5years), of treatment for our David. David has already started chemotherapy at Starship hospital.

My sister had to rush to Starship hospital, leaving behind David's three siblings and his dad. David's dad needs to travel to Auckland, from the Bay of Plenty every Friday, to support David and give my sister a break. Nanna, Poppa and myself look after David's three siblings on the weekends, while their dad is gone.

Whatever you could donate, big or small, would be much appreciated and gratefully received with love. We thank you all also for prayers and positive thoughts for our precious boy David.
