Dewalds Head Shave

Hello my name is Dewald Botha, I am 19 years old and grew up in Hawkes Bay after moving to New Zealand from South Africa when I was 4 (Go Springboks). I work for a small charity called Re-Source where I am a van man. After leaving school I decided I wanted to grow out my hair after following strict rules for the past couple of years. It has been growing for over 2 years now and I have decided I am ready for a trim. I started playing rugby again last year for Napier Tech and met some really awesome guys. One of those men was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer right before Christmas. This was a massive shock to me, he was the first person in my life to be diagnosed and even though we aren't that close it hurt all the same. Having cancer and losing your hair isn't a choice but I am lucky enough to be in a position where I can at least try and help one of those people. I am getting together with the amazing team at The Acorn Project to try and raise a bit of money for their awesome cause . My good friend Rawiri is going to be doing the chop on the 25th of March and making sure I come out looking ok on the other side.
