Diapers for Tiuata
We are raising funds to ship MEDICAL AID from New Zealand to Christmas Island in the Republic of Kiribati.

When she was 18 years old, Tiuata went into an alcohol induced coma, and never came out of it. That is 8 years ago. Ever since the tragedy, my island family has been taking care of her. Fortunately, the mother (Naana) is the head-nurse of the local clinic, so she knows how to give care.
When I asked Naana if she needs adult diapers for the hospital, she was ecstatic. So, I put a call out on social media and received not only diapers, but all kinds of medical gear. So, this fundraiser will supply MEDICAL AID to the hospital in a 3rd world island nation (21.9% of the population lived below the national poverty line in 2019).
We have a Kiribati contact right here in Auckland (Kung JB Trading ltd) who has arranged transport by sea from New Zealand to Kiritimati Island (Pronounced Christmas).
Kiritimati island lies in the Republic of Kiribati, which is very remote (2500km from the nearest landmass of Hawaii).

In my hand-luggage, I carried as many diapers as I could carry. This will take Tiuata over till the end of the year when the pallet is due to arrive.
