To help lower the financial burden of loosing Dixon
Gore, Southland
Dixon Cribb age 9 passed away 23 September 2025 from an unsustainable epileptic brain injury. A complication of Dravet Syndrome. A very rare form of epilepsy - only a handful of NZ children are currently diagnosed.
Dixon fought hard to be an organ donor sadly even with ICU intervention viability became futile.
Dixon was a charismatic caring young man, even with his health issues he always helped others. He loved to fundraise supporting Kidscan, Gumboot Friday, Hospice, Ronald MacDonald House, The Epilepsy Foundation, PJs in hospital, Otama School, the Nattering Knitters, Hug a Rig and Market Gardens.
Dixon also created fairy gardens in public and private gardens to enchant and add a touch of magic to our world. His colourful brutally honest personality lead to many humorous memories we will cherish.
We are asking for funds to help Mum, Lish Bangma and brothers Pacer 14 and Harley 11 to pay for the Funeral, Burial, Headstone and most importantly to establish the “Dixon Foundation”
The Aim : to Educate and Support GPs, Hospital Staff, Spec and Families about Rare Epileptic Syndromes. Dravet being one of them. All of which are life limiting little known conditions. All three boys are diagnosed and Dixons brother’s voice and first hand experiences will help others when diagnosed. RiP Dixon our world is less colourful and far too quiet without you. 💜💚O
