The end of 2016 brought our family some massive challenges but with that, we discovered how strong we can be when faced with them. We also had unbelievable support from all of you and we would like to wish you and your whanau a Happy New Year. Arohanui Megan and DJ
Some of his results are back and he is currently under 5% leukaemia cells as opposed to around 95% when he was diagnosed which is great news, GO DJ!
Unfortunately DJ has an infection somewhere and has had on going high fevers and having a really tough time, he recently had surgery to take tissue from his lungs to find out what's going on which we are still waiting on results. He had put on 3kgs of fluid they had to get rid of and has an air pocket and a lot of fluid in his right lung still with high fevers and heart rate and needing oxygen, yesterday DJ went into theatre and they drained the lung of fluid. No going home until infection is completely cleared! So not looking too good for Christmas. I will keep you all posted once we figure out whats going
